Katherine Reynolds, FNP-C

Katherine Reynolds became a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide holistic care that focuses on prevention and education to better equip patients with the knowledge to make educated decisions regarding their health. Due to her family’s history of cardiovascular disease, where she developed an appreciation for early prevention, she decided to specialize in the field.

Katherine grew up in a small town in central Illinois and graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Nutrition and a BS in Biology: Genetics, later working on the orthopedic and the neurosurgery progressive care units after becoming an RN at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. After moving to Arizona, Katherine worked at Mercy Care Gilbert Medical Center while she pursued her Master of Science: Family Nurse Practitioner at Grand Canyon University. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a traveling NP throughout Arizona, tending to patients in their homes.

Katherine’s passion for science and pathophysiology is what makes her different from other providers. She draws on this knowledge to explain to her patients how their bodies work and how a medication or procedure will help their condition. As an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, reading current investigative medical journals helps her stay abreast of new research that could change the way patients are treated and cared for.

The best part of being an FNP for Katherine is making a positive impact on her patients’ current and future health.

Katherine enjoys spending time with her husband Harold, their children Andrew and Alyssa, and their dog and cat. She likes going to local restaurants, attempting DIY home improvement projects, and reading, often reading around a dozen books each month. She also loves traveling and has provided aid to strangers numerous times during her travels.
